Our Quality & Art Specifications
All images on art4uk have the following specifications:
  • Ready for you to hang on your wall.  With fittings where necessary.  
  • Split Panel Prints - come with templates to help you hang evenly on the wall. 
  • Printed with finest inks on a high resolution professional printer and UV inks
  • Cotton canvas on a 2cm or 3cm deep edged frame (see item description)
  • Items dispatched within 48 hrs of cleared payment, delivery usually within 2-4 days.
  • Individually professionally securely wrapped

Please note that colours can and will vary according to each individuals monitor settings.  This is normal and applies to everything online, including prints and art.  The piece that you buy from us is uploaded as close as possible to the colour that will be printed, but cannot be an exact colour match as the monitor - this would be impossible as your monitor will have a certain setting... and to this end your setting will slightly change the tone and even the colours a little.  If you are concerned that this is exact, please email us in advance and we will try to help.  Returns on this basis are not considered faulty.

Images on pictures with sofas are for illustration purposes.  Please refer to actual size. The wall art you buy is not necessarily the size of the image shown with sofa.    

Accepting Delivery:
Parcels Damaged In Transit to You:  If the item being delivered looks damaged in transit DO NOT accept delivery. Instead, refuse this delivery on the basis that it is damaged.  The service will return it to us and we will be able to see immediately why you did not accept this. We will then arrange a replacement to be sent out to you. If you accept delivery then you are accepting that this is delivered to you in secure and acceptable packaging, undamaged, and a return for damage cannot then be considered.  

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase and therefore you can of course return the item within 7 days of receipt for any reason, no questions asked and no hard feelings.

Firstly - All we ask is that you email us immediately with the reason you wish to return or  COMPLETE THE RETURN FORM

Then, return this within 7 days of receipt for a full refund.  Where you require further information we will provide this by reply email. There is a total time allowance of up to 14 days inclusive from the date of receipt by you to receipt by us maximum allowance for a full refund.. 

Returns will not be refunded for any reason outside of this 14 day period.  

How to Return an Item: 
1. Enclose the return sheet we can email to you, or your name, address & reason for return within your parcel. 
2. On your packaging there is a return address - this is the address to which you must return your print.
3. Return the item, packaged as it was sent or repackaged in equally good quality protective packaging.  
4. Put your name and address as a return to sender address in small text somewhere discreet.
5. Maintain your receipts for this as proof.  Book your return using a courier that will insure your parcel. Examples are myhermes.co.uk (usually the cheapest) or parcels2go.co.uk.  Send us the tracking or insert our email as you book for this to be sent to us automatically.  

In all cases:
We will check the item is received in the condition it was sent to you, and if so we will then pass your account for a full refund. If the item is not returned as sent then a refund will not be granted.  Remember, in order that we expect your return, you must email us upon receipt and informing us that you intend to return.  This way we can ensure your item is logged as returned from you and passed to accounts for the clearance after inspection.

Return postage costs are at the buyers expense - however see above for service that will collect and track at lowest trackable price, e.g. myhermes

Refund will be for the full cost paid to Art4uk*
Are issued after receipt of the returned item is received and inspected as good as sent.
We attempt to process a return and clear for a refund within 14 days of receipt by us.  This can take longer in some circumstances.  Once processed it can take up to 4 working days for the refund to hit your account.  Refunds are made in all cases within 30 days.  Refunds are not expedited beyond these checks being carried out. Where an item is checked as faulty and this is the reason for the return we will arrange to replace the item or refund as per your request.  

Where a replacement is required:  We will issue your refund and you can place a new order for the item that you would like.  We would not accept a return and replace / part refund as this will not reflect accurately within our systems as per your order history.  You can make a new order at any time, but the refund will only be made after cleared receipt via our warehouse after checking the return is received in 'as sent' condition.  We will update you via email as soon as this is done.

Refund Amounts:  * In all cases where a return is received in good condition within 7 days from the date of receipt by you to return to us a full refund will be given.   Therefore it is in your own interests to return as quickly as possible.  
After the 7-day and up to 14 days (maximum return period) our delivery costs to you are not refunded.  This cost is a minimum of £7, see more info below.*  Outside of the 14 days maximum from delivery to return we will not consider a return for refund acceptable.  

Where a return is received after this period a refund will not be given and if you want the item re-sent then an arrangement may be made where you can pay a P&P amount for us to send to you again.
Where we have ultimately agreed this, an admin fee is paid.  In the unlikely event of us agreeing a refund outside of the 14 day return window, a restocking / admin fee of 50% is retained in all situations.  This is unavoidable because items returned after this time are not suitable for re-selling and therefore this is total lost stock. 

Where an item is received back within 7 days (and in most cases within 14 days) we will refund in full. However, where an item is returned after this inclusive period, the costs to send by us for carrier  (minimum £7 per item, more if you ordered more than one item, more if in Northern Ireland or off the mainland) will not be refunded. In addition, the actual cost of the packaging will also be retained. Remember, this is the price it has cost us for you to receive an item to then return, which means that for no reason Art4uk is charged for your intention to buy and return at will.  We will only carry the total costs within 7 days from the date you receive to the date we receive back inclusive and not after this period. Reasons such as being on holiday or away from home etc are not acceptable reasons for returns to be late.  We can not make exceptions to these terms. By purchasing from Art4uk you agree these terms in advance upon purchasing and are legally bound by our terms.  If these terms are not acceptable in advance you should not purchase without contacting us.

Returned postage will not be paid by us unless the item was reported as damaged / faulty.  Where this is the case we would ask for you to email a picture of the fault.  

Where an item was returned to us as undelivered after attempts to redeliver or where you did not contact the carrier after a missed delivery we will make a refund less actual costs to us.  Return postage costs are not refunded where an item was returned because you did not like this upon receipt or changed your mind, however, the full cost paid by you will be returned - but this must be within the 7 days from receipt period. 

Return postage costs are never paid for items returned from any area outside of mainland UK.  This includes, but is not limited to: Shetlands, N.Ireland, Isle of Mann etc. 

In all cases where a refund is agreed in advance outside of our 7 day return window, for any reason, a 25% admin fee will be deducted from the refund.  This is 50% after 14 days.  This may be in addition to the return PP costs outside of 7 day window.

Faults & Damages:  Must be reported immediately. Where a return is considered faulty it is necessary to send images in advance and at the initial time of contacting us in relation to wanting a return.  In this case we may deal with the return differently and will take each case individually.
